Welcome to the Empire United Soccer Academy (Emppire USA)!

In August 2007, Western New York’s top soccer clubs, the Rochester Junior Rhinos, Syracuse Football Club and Buffalo United Soccer Club joined together to form the Empire United Soccer Academy.  The unification of these clubs, acknowledge their strong working relationship and shared vision of the development of youth soccer.

ROCHESTER, NY -- Freshman defender Emily Shoemaker (Rochester, NY/Greece Athena), a member of the RIT women’s soccer team, was named the 2012 Liberty League Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Year as selected by the coaches on Thursday.

The WNY soccer community is proud to announce the newest member of the WPSL, the Empire Revs.  Elite female soccer players from the area will compete against other WPSL teams throughout the Northeast.  Head coach Chris Hershey has recruited an excellent staff to assist him with the May 2013 start. They will select a rostered and reserve training squad which will be made up of past and present collegiate athletes, and elite high school players.  The first combine is scheduled for Sunday, November 25th.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Revolution has formed a strategic partnership with New York-based Empire United, a youth development program that also plays in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. Beginning with the 2012-13 season, Empire United will become “Revolution Empire, A New England Revolution Soccer Club.”

On Tuesday, June 5, the New England Revolution conducted the first-ever Revs Training Center (RTC) for its newest affiliate club, Empire Revolution in Western New York.

Our 2013 initiative is to bring focus and resources to our Girls State Academy across the Revolution Empire geographic area. The Girls State Academy Director of Coaching will lead this effort.

A pair of 1-0 victories over Players SC (NV) and CUP Crew Jrs Gold 94/95 (OH-S), sandwiched around a loss to Division Champions Legends Breakaway (CA-S), capped a very solid National League season for the Empire United GU17 Academy.  The National League is made up of two, eight team divisions and includes some of the best U17 teams in the country.

Congratulations to the GU16 State Academy Team for placing 1st in their group @ the 2012 Jefferson Cup Tournament, registering 3 shutouts.  The team finished 2nd overall out of 12 teams in their division, with just a single point separating the 1st & 2nd place teams.

The GU17 Academy team began their Region 1 Premier League season with three tough matches in Pittsburgh, this past weekend.  The first match on Saturday was hard fought 2-1 loss to Beadling (PAW).  Saturday’s second match ended with a similar 2-1 defeat against a very talented squad from FC Frederick (MD).  Sunday’s match was against the host club, North United Fire (PAW), and ended in a 2-2 draw.

The GU17 Academy girls are in action next in Las Vegas, for the second and final weekend of competition in the UYSYSA National League, before returning to their next Region 1 Premier League contests in April.
