GU17 Academy Finish National League Season with a Strong Performance In Las Vegas

A pair of 1-0 victories over Players SC (NV) and CUP Crew Jrs Gold 94/95 (OH-S), sandwiched around a loss to Division Champions, Legends Breakaway FC (CA-S), capped a very solid National League season for the Empire United GU17 Academy.  The National League is made up of two, eight team divisions and includes some of the best U17 teams in the country.  The two wins and a loss this weekend, added to one win, two losses and a draw during December's weekend of competition in Atlanta, GA, combined to give the GU17 Academy a very respectable 3-3-1 overall record, finishing in 5th place in the National League’s Red division.

The girls will now turn their attention towards completing their Region 1 Premier League schedule, with two weekends of competition coming up in April.  They will face the PDA Crush and the Herndon Firecats on April 14th, in New Jersey, and will then finish the Premier League season with matches against VSA Heat (also a member of the National League) and SDFC Lynx, on April 28th, in Maryland.
